Wow. It’s been ages since I’ve posted! So much has happened in the last two months!
Laura and Chris got married and their wedding was beautiful and tons of fun! Scott and I really enjoyed staying at the Mayflower in DC, and the whole weekend was loads of fun. They went on a week long honeymoon at a goregous resort. I can’t believe she’s actually married! Congrats again, Laura and Chris!!
Nora and I went to Casey and Tim’s wedding. I was the dubious wedding planner, and Nora was so much help. We danced so much that our legs and feet hurt for days.
On June 4th my baby sister graduated from high school with honors! She was beautiful and I, as usual, cried like a baby! In about 2 months she goes away to Christopher Newport University in Virginia. She is so stoked, and I am so happy for her! I can’t believe she’s all grown up!! Way to go, Miss Jiggs!!
Nora turned 17 on June 5th, 2008! We had a lot of fun with her that day taking her shopping in downtown Frederick and taking her out to Mediterranian Grill for dinner. Then on Friday the 6th we threw her a HUGE suprise party with about 20 of her friends! She was shocked and it was so much fun! It was a toga party (she had a costume waiting for her — it was Athena). They even squished grapes out in front of our old house. Her best friend Lauren was instrumental in helping me put together this party and even Angela was able to come!
Then on the 20th we moved! Our new house is beautiful. It has a fully finished basement, a deck out back, cute little gardens in the front and back yards, and we even got the rooms painted the colors that we wanted. The movers were awesome (Christon Movers if you ever need anyone — they are cheap and VERY good! They got our entire house of furniture moved in under 3 hours). We’ve managed to get the master bedroom mostly unpacked, and 3 of the 5 bookcases. We actually need probably 2 or 3 more bookcases, one thing Scott and I discovered in the move was that we have WAY more book than we realized. Even Nora needs an additional bookcase. The new room in the basement is awesome, and there’s a fourth bedroom down there for Devon when he decideds to move in with us. The packing is a little overwhelming, I wish that I wasn’t working so much and that I had more time to get settled in. Slowly but surely we are getting it done one step at a time.
In about 2 weeks we leave for Wisconsin! It’s crazy that we’re going on a trip right after we move, but we so need a nice rejuvinating vacation after the last few months!
I will post pictures as soon as I have time to do so! There are TONS of good ones! Don’t forget to check them out on my MySpace!
